Address
Verification
The
Yotta MVS data collection method allows sufficient occupation time to
verify a property's site address. In the data collection process, as the
mobile data collection unit changes streets, the street prefix
direction, street name, street type, and post directional are recorded
for each street sign. These data elements are stored in the "Field
Address" data components and repeated for each structure on the
street.
Field
Address Data Components
As the
data for each structure is collected, the house number and/or secondary
address unit number for the structure is verified to the data file and
stored in the "Field Address" data components. If any
corrections are made from the data file to the "Field Address"
data components, an attribute is recorded. Additionally, if the address
could not be physically seen from public access, an Unverified Address
attribute is recorded. A "Field Address" is generated even if
the site address could not be verified.
The
Yotta MVS "Field Address" data components have been
developed to conform to the National Emergency Number Association (NENA)
Version 4 data exchange formats. The "Field Address" data
components combined with the x,y coordinate data fields, allows for the
analysis and update of Emergency Services Automatic Location
Identification (ALI) and Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) data files.
